Philosophy of care

Newhaven will provide long term residential care for elderly adults and adults with learning disabilities. This care includes establishing a personal individual relationship with the clients and care staff.

Observation and assessments are of great importance in caring for the clients as they are used to provide individual programmes of care and regularly re-assessed to meet the clients’ needs.

The individual programmes are set in the context of a warm, homely environment at Newhaven and also within the wider social community.

We offer care facilities for clients suffering with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and other disabilities. Our team of highly qualified staff are trained to care for all our clients’ needs and preferences. We have good working relationships with numerous other professionals such as: physiotherapists, district nurses, occupational therapists and many others to ensure we offer the best care possible.
